Community Services Ministry

Ministry Leader: Sis Esme BrownMinistry Email: gro.lfadsesuohthgil%40ecivresytinummoc

The Lighthouse Community Service serves the whole person, a concept known as holistic ministry whose mission is to “serve communities in Christ’s name.” We are called to serve all people, especially people in need.
The ministry provides vital help to individuals and families who are unemployed, working-poor, uninsured and disadvantaged in poverty stricken and urban areas. It offers relief services, promotes individual and community development that includes equipping community members with skills to become self-sufficient and engages in public advocacy.
This program makes services accessible to communities which affords us the opportunity to become familiar with residents to nurture their hope, self-value and ability to succeed.

Men's Ministry

Ministry Leader: Bro Kimroy Turner

The Lighthouse Seventh-day Adventist Church Men's Ministry department consists of both the young and older male generation of the church. Our mission is to lead men into a deeper relationship with Christ, and greater spiritual effectiveness in the community.
As a group, we have, in the last few years, covered extensive bible studies through many platforms. We encourage and facilitate meaningful spiritual, mental, and emotional growth among the men of the church.. Some of our programs and activities included; weekend seminars, fishing adventure, golfing, community outreach- painting, yard clean ups, food delivery, and other life skills adventures.
By God's grace we pray that the Lord will equip the Men’s Ministry leadership team with the tools that are needed to inspire and give spiritual guidance as we continue to point men to the saving grace of our Lord and Savior- Jesus Christ.

Music Ministry

Ministry Leader: Kendacy MereusMinistry Email: gro.lfadsesuohthgil%40yrtsinimcisum

The music ministry is a subset of the scripture through song. It is a vehicle to usher in the presence of God; to set and establish an atmosphere that is conducive to worship by enabling the presence of God to move freely among the congregation so that each person can experience Christ on a personal level.
Our mission is to accompany, facilitate and enhance the worship experience in the church. We are here to encourage the believers, support the sermon and share the gospel with nonbelievers through music. The ultimate goal of the music ministry is to lead the church in glorifying and praising God through song.
Colossians 3:16 NKJVLet the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Education Ministry

Ministry Leader: Jocelyn GreenawayMinistry Email: gro.lfadsesuohthgil%40yrtsinimnoitacude

Theme: Building His Kingdom-Renewing and Transforming Minds

“Where then does wisdom come from? Where does understanding dwell? It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing, concealed even from the birds of the air. God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells.” Job 28:20-21, 23.
Wisdom is the domain of God, and he willingly shares it with anyone who asks. (James1:5) The Education Committee has the unique position to keep Christian education in the forefront of the minds of the members. Knowledge is power! Again how can they choose unless they are informed? Our committee recognizes that worldly education is fiercely competitive, but we hope to always keep in the minds and hearts of parents and members that we are pilgrims heading for a heavenly home. We plan to actively present the possibilities of Christian Education regularly. We also hope to have our members without children also involved in making Christian education possible.
We hope to do this by making use of our connections with our educational facilities and conferences.

The Personal Ministry is responsible for galvanizing the ministries of the church for Evangelism. Our mission is the Divine mandate given to the church to: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
